On 14th September 2020, Carbon Cap hosted a conversation on climate change and carbon as an emerging asset class with our CEO Michael Azlen & James Cameron who sits on our advisory board.
The impact of climate change on our planet and people is now an existential threat. Recent record-breaking heatwaves and increased incidences of drought and wildfires demonstrate that our climate is changing rapidly due to human generated greenhouse gas emissions. To stimulate a reduction in emissions, there must be a price on carbon reflecting the damages these emissions cause to society.
The webinar covers:
1. The Science and the Impacts: Understanding Climate Change
2. Paris Agreement 2015 – before and after
3. How are the carbon markets in 2020 different to those of 2008
4. Investment opportunities and risks
